About Me

I was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas. I recently (2011) moved to San Antonio, Texas with my sweet husband of 12 years, Jerry. I wanted to share everything I find from the food, culture, people, and my experience to those who care to know. It may be about products, gadgets, places or people. Just follow along and let me know what you think and ask questions along the way.

I chose TXWafflemaker as the name for my blog because I always loved traveling to Texas and at the hotels, they had the waffle makers in the shape of Texas. I thought they were awesome. For Christmas in 2010, my sister-in-law, Susie bought me one from the Texaswafflermaker.com website. I am in no way sponsored by them nor do I wish to use their name for marketing purposes. I am using it as a person who makes waffles in the shape of the state and hope I do not offend anyone at that company. UPDATE: I have notified TexasWafflemaker.com of my blog and name and they sent a gracious message back giving me permission to use it.

It’s now a tradition in our home when we have overnight guest, they are served Texas waffles the next morning. We have chocolate chips, fruit, and nuts to top them off! I love Texas and can’t seem to stop to discovering new places and people that fascinate me.

Note: I have updated my blog on WordPress because it gives me many more options and an updated look. If you want to see what I posted previously, see my previous blog.

LOVE all of your ideas! You have a natural talent for writing. It’s no wonder Jerry picked you. I think you’re great too. šŸ˜€
